When asking for help, include the app version shown at the bottom of Settings, your iOS or iPadOS version, what you were trying to do, and what happened. Do not send weight history, notes, advertising or device identifiers, passwords, API keys or bank details. If you send a screenshot, hide personal information first.

Add or change a weight record

Tap Add New Record, enter weight in kilograms, choose a date and add an optional note. Tap an existing history row to edit or delete it. Use the Table and Chart controls to change the view; touch and drag the chart to inspect a record.

Set a BMI goal

Open Set BMI Goal from the main screen or Settings. Enter and confirm your own height before saving a target. The app provides standard adult BMI categories and an optional NICE reference with lower thresholds for specified population groups.

BMI is a screening measure for adults aged 20 and over. It does not directly measure body fat, diagnose a condition or prescribe a suitable weight goal. Consult a qualified health professional before making medical decisions.

Back up or move records

Open Settings → Export Data to save a JSON record backup to Files or another destination. Import Data accepts compatible record exports from the web app and asks before replacing existing records. Keep a separate backup before replacing records or deleting the app.

Record exports contain weights, dates and optional notes. Height and BMI goals are saved separately and are not included; enter them again on another device. There is no account or automatic record sync. Your device's Apple backup settings may also apply.

Advertising and privacy choices

The free app requests contextual banners where permitted. Apple tracking permission is optional. Settings → Ad privacy choices lets you review your region and device-access choice. Where device-access permission is required, ads stay off until you allow it. Weight records, notes, height, BMI and reference choices are never supplied to advertising SDKs.

If a banner is unavailable, core recording and BMI features remain usable. You can try again later. Ad failures are summarized by failure stage and error code for this session. If support needs those values, send only the stage and code.

Declining device access removes banners and blocks new app-managed requests. Close and reopen the app to stop a vendor SDK that has already initialized. Advertising services have their own device-data processing described in the privacy policy.

Read the Your Weight Tracker privacy policy. You can also read the current in-app policy in Settings → Privacy Policy.
