Your Weight Tracker for iPhone and iPad
Effective date: 18 October 2026

Who operates the app

App operator: Tom L
Privacy contact: support@urweight.com

This policy describes the native iOS app, Your Weight Tracker. It does not describe the separate weight-tracking web app or a cloud-storage provider or other service you choose to use. Information about visiting these support and privacy pages appears below.

Your weight records stay on your device

The app stores your weight records, record dates, notes, height, BMI reference and BMI/weight goals in the app's private storage on your device. BMI is calculated on your device. We do not operate an app account or a server for uploading or synchronizing these records.

Your weight, BMI, height, notes, goals and BMI reference choice are not sent to advertising SDKs or used as ad-targeting information. The app does not give advertising services a publisher-supplied user ID.

Your device's Apple backup settings may apply to app data. Apple controls its own backup services; we do not receive a copy of your device backup.

Importing and exporting

Export Data creates a JSON file containing your weight records, dates and notes. BMI settings are stored separately and are not included in record exports. You choose where to save or share an export. Anyone or any service you share it with may be able to read it, and that destination's privacy rules apply.

Importing a JSON backup replaces the active weight records after confirmation. Importing does not synchronize the file with a developer-operated server.

Advertising that supports the free app

The free app requests contextual banner ads through Unity LevelPlay, Unity Ads and Ad Quality where permitted by your privacy choices. Contextual ads are selected for the app's context. The app requests no personalized ads and sends opt-out signals for sale or sharing. Granting Apple's tracking permission does not cause the app to request personalized ads.

These advertising services may process device or SDK-generated identifiers, IP/network information and approximate location inferred from an IP address, ad views and interactions, usage information, device characteristics and performance or diagnostic information. Unity's general SDK disclosures also list user identifiers, purchase-related information and optional ad-creative support reports. The app has no in-app purchase reporting and supplies no account ID or weight/BMI information to those services. These categories describe the providers’ published disclosures, not a claim that each category is used in every ad request. Provider processing, retention and privacy rights are described in Unity's policy.

These services use advertising data to deliver and measure ads, maintain performance and protect against fraud. Advertising data handling is separate from local weight storage. An absence of an app account, or a decision to decline tracking, does not mean that contextual advertising makes no network requests or processes no device data.

Your advertising choices

Open Settings → Ad privacy choices in the app to review your region and device-access choice. Where device-access consent is required, advertising stays off until you allow it. You can decline device access and continue using all weight-tracking features.

Declining device access removes the banner and prevents new app-managed ad requests. It also prevents advertising SDK initialization on future app launches. If an advertising SDK has already initialized, close the app completely and reopen it after declining so that it is not initialized again. Changing this choice does not itself delete information already held by a provider.

Apple's tracking permission is separate. Declining or restricting tracking does not disable the app's contextual-ad request path where other required permission has been provided. Actual ad availability depends on the advertising service and available demand.

The current build includes optional advertising diagnostics for testing. An explicit test-device-ID action reads an advertising identifier only when Apple's tracking permission is currently granted and ad device access is permitted. The identifier is displayed locally; copying uses a local-only clipboard item that expires after five minutes. Displaying or copying it does not automatically submit it to Unity. This diagnostic permission is not required to use the weight logger.

Retention and deletion

Local records and settings remain in app storage until you change them, delete a record or remove the app's data. You can delete an individual record from its editor. Deleting the app through iOS removes its local app container; device backups or later restores may retain or restore copies. Offloading an app is different from deleting it and can preserve its data.

When recovering an unreadable records or BMI-settings file, the app may preserve the original file locally to avoid losing data. Removing the app's local container removes those local recovery copies as well. Exported files, copies shared with other people or services, and device backups must be managed separately in their respective locations.

We cannot delete weight records from a developer-operated server because the app does not send those records to one. Advertising providers set their own retention periods and handle requests concerning information they hold. Review Unity's privacy policy and privacy choices above; no fixed provider retention period is promised by this policy.

Privacy requests and contact

For questions about the app's handling of data or help exercising applicable privacy rights, contact support@urweight.com. Please do not include weight records, health details or an advertising identifier unless a specific request makes them necessary. Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or to object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to your privacy regulator. Contact us for app or support-message requests. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify and handle your request. For data held by Unity, use its policy and privacy-request channels above. We cannot identify or retrieve your local weight records remotely.

When you contact support

If you email us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message and any attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond, troubleshoot and maintain a record of the request. Please send only what is necessary; we do not need your full weight history, advertising identifier or medical details to handle a general support question.

Support correspondence is handled through the email service used by the contact address above. We keep correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request, maintain relevant support records and meet applicable legal obligations. You can request deletion, subject to any retention that is legally required.

Visiting these pages and other services

The support and privacy pages are static pages hosted through Cloudflare. Serving and protecting a page involves technical request information such as IP address, browser information and request time. These pages do not contain app advertising SDKs, a contact form or a weight-record upload feature. For Cloudflare's processing, see its privacy policy.

Advertising, hosting and email providers may process information in countries other than your own. Their policies describe their processing locations, protections, retention and privacy-request channels. Following an external link or sharing an export takes you to a service with its own privacy practices.

About the BMI feature

The BMI guidance in the app is an adult screening reference for ages 20 and over. It is not a diagnosis or a prescribed weight goal. This description is not a statement of the App Store age rating.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when app features or data practices change. A published revision will state its effective date. Material changes that require a new choice will be presented through the app's privacy controls where applicable.
